SF sounds like paradise tonight! Nearly sundown, with the Golden Gate vanishing into the mystic!! My kind of hauntingly beautiful atmosphere... The fog rarely moved across into the East Bay when I lived in Emeryville 30+ years ago. There was a drought at the time, but the present situation in CA sounds way worse than all those years ago, and fog and chilly weather seems frequent this summer. I love the Sunset district in SF! It's like living far away from anything urban! I would drive over to Ocean Beach every Sunday from the East Bay.. the sunsets were incredible!! We face the wrong way for anything like it in NYC. Will check your recent 30 July fill in broadcast soon!! Enjoy the fog tonight!!

When we moved last year, after 29 years in one spot, there were 7,000 LPs to move. Most of the heavy labor was done by movers, but just boxing & unboxing them was a lot of work. Then I spent the summer getting them all really organized for the first time.

Yes - but Harryhausen is kind of actual Art I'd maintain... the level of FairyTales. TO me the things about that is ...it's *one man*. & - it's *hand made*. The same thing Satriani said about 'ElectricLadyland' by Hendrix. They didn't have the Buttons to Push that make everyone the same. Same with TheBeatles & all the Analog business...

So in the summer after my senior year I ended up getting front row tickets to see Neil Diamond in the round. Literally a rotating stage in the middle of the stadium where the Detroit Pistons played. I got the tickets free from working at the record store and I took a coworker with me. I was recently dumped and in a weird headspace. In a goofy mood I was telling my friend we needed to bring Neil flowers or something like those who run down the isles. I wanted a fern but settle on a large potted hibiscus with the big white plastic hanger. (did I mention this was pre-9/11?) Anyway, on the way in I passed the ex-girlfriend's parents and it put me in a weirder mood. The show started and Neil started slowly spinning in the round...
