Big Al was clearly discusted. Second set they came out, didn't say a word, and played possibly the best set of music I've ever heard. 50 feet off the ground. Big Al was snarling, and spitting fire. Still blows my mind to think about that set. Same night.

	♥ 11:40am drr: I've see NRBQ 3 times, favorite one is still the first one: a "blues cruise" or "booze cruise" around the Statue of Liberty. Crowded boat, tiny space, wild show. The drummer was Ricky Bates, filling in for Tom. Still great.

	11:44am Michael K: Easily 25+ times, mostly back in the mid-80's to mid-90's, many times at the old Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia. My wife and I had "I Love Her, She Loves Me" as our first dance when we were married in 1990. Loving this show Michael!
	♥ 11:48am Listener Baby: Two sets. Opening set, they were filming all the footage for the Connie Chung special she did on them. They just sucked. Clowning around. Laying it on way too thick. Big Al was clearly discusted. Second set they came out, didn't say a word, and played possibly the best set of music I've ever heard. 50 feet off the ground. Big Al was snarling, and spitting fire. Still blows my mind to think about that set. Same night.

Then, later on, at some free/promotional show in Central Park w/Marcia Ball & some other acts (maybe someone here remembers that? Not sure when it was but they were great & won me over that day). Saw them in the '90s at the Bottom Line & they were amazing. Haven't seen this incarnation of the band though.
