I crewed a Santana concert @ the Ford Amphitheater back in 2006. I was asked to be a cable pager for the pit cameraman during the show. The cameraman told me to follow him up on the stage for the first song as he took an audience shot, then we jumped back down into the pit. He told me to sit on the back of the barricade until the last song where we'll jump back up. I got to watch the show 10 feet in front of Carlos & Chester Thompson. Melted my face and I got paid. Good times. Samba Pa Ti was awesome!

UD: At the end of a really great Replacements show in '83-is, Madison, the band received a strong ovation at the end of the set. As Paul Westerberg was walking by the main mike, heading for the wings, some even shouted 'encore, encore!"

"Puh-leeeze" he spat into the mike, and kept moving. I laughed so hard! One definer of 'punk' is doing things on your own terms, no matter the cost. Obviously, Flipper is the patron saint of that shit.

@Stevel My college friends and I used to use Sex Bomb (well, the whole Generic album) to clear the annoying people out of our parties.

hey! cool show! a new Wednesday night tradition. thanks for playing new tunes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm

It's sort of a seventies disco sound effect. A boy air-horny, but higher-pitched. I think it's in at least one Tom Tom Club song, and maybe some Grandmaster Flash songs and things like that from the early eighties and probably later seventies. He plays it during songs, at inappropriate (to my ears) moments.
