RobertWilkens ...you know.) & Chicago Blues when it went up the river & plugged in - where so much of our Rawk comes from. Especially if yer a Gittarhead... You know who I always forget on the shortlist - John Lee Hooker. He always gets there. I always imagine his ancestors were Priests in West Africa...

The sound of blues guitar is the direct result of the life of the players -- it is a style that come naturally to (mostly) men with incredibly strong hands, callused, bruised, and cut from a lifetime of hard manual labor. You're so lucky, Mom! I never did. I did go to his museum on MS at least 7 or 8 years ago with my dad. It was really cool. He also took me to a old juke joint restaurant near thr Arkansas and MS border they used to frequent when my dad was young with his brothers and parents. You had to enter through the kitchen in the back. The tamales were the best I ever had and amazing steaks and potatoes and bread, too! Such a cool place. I need to ask my dad the name of it again

A friend of ours was in town from LA, and she came with us and got a full NYC canoeing experience -- seaplane on the creek, drunken party boats, asshole ferry captains, egrets, cool breezes, NYC neighborhood beach life, warm sun, cool waters.
