Directly after it was over we were downtown L.A. shopping for school clothes. We were in a shoe store on Broadway. There was a large very dark Black woman in the store, and I said to my father in very loud audible voice "By the way daddy, where's Watts?" My father just gave me a look as cold as ice.

Yeah, definitely a good one, took care of stuff (or had people do so). He sometimes would show up at a party, but usually wouldn't linger. Must have been weird. I think he chose tenants in arts or research

This worked out neatly. My sister and I were going to get together at our mom's house to discuss business at 2pm PST, but I thought - Hmmm, I'll miss most of Ritual Music. So I told her to come over to my house at 3pm instead and we'll go to dinner afterwards. Of course she said yes and of course she's late - Hooray!
