	♥ 3:01pm LesleyK: Stu, i was in the NHS too (treasurer--but we never had any $ so it was easy), but the principal did not like my punk-ish haircut so she banned me from going on field trips-- so stupid. i mean it was just pink hair at a catholic school. (i wound up going on field trips after all)

	♥ 3:06pm Stu Rutherford: @Lesley - At my school, there were no chores or trips that I remember being in NHS. Just basically a "prestige" thing for lack of a better word for good grades. I too was a bit of a freak amongst my fellow members. I had a Phil May-ish haircut in my senior year in HS.

	♥ 3:08pm Dennis Diken: I went to Catholic school for K & 1 then my folks gave me the choice to switch to public school moving forward - I'm eternally thankful! had amazing teachers at A Lincoln School in Carteret, NJ!!

	♥ 3:11pm LesleyK: That's cool Dennis. i would have went to public hs but i actually chose to go to this school in downtown cleveland. lots of diversity and interesting kids,who I would not have met in the 'burbs. was not your usual catholic school. (i hated the catholic middle school though, the nuns were mean there!)

	♥ 3:18pm LesleyK: Wow, that's cool Dennis! wish i met some cool band/music people. i played piano but that was it-didn't really know anyone who was into playing unfortunately. Woo, my h.s. no longer exists either.

	♥ 3:19pm Dennis Diken: @Woo - hey man! @LesleyK - yeah, I'm still in touch with a number of kids I went to school with, some nice, lasting friendships!
	♥ 3:21pm Dennis Diken: @LesleyK - Mike didn't start on the bass til the 70s but we were close friends since '66! and I met Jimmy Babjak on the first day of high school - and we started playing together that week!!
	♥ 3:21pm MOM WHIG: My Church & School were/are still in McLean, Va - Bobby & Ethel Kennedy went to our church. Woo - 12 years WOW!

	♥ 3:01pm LesleyK: Stu, i was in the NHS too (treasurer--but we never had any $ so it was easy), but the principal did not like my punk-ish haircut so she banned me from going on field trips-- so stupid. i mean it was just pink hair at a catholic school. (i wound up going on field trips after all)

(i hated the catholic middle school though, the nuns were mean there!)
