So now I know, for instance, Baukran must be "build-crane" in the sense of "crane for building". So now I'm trying to figure out the "stellen" part of Baustellenkran.

	1:05pm Listener Robert: Looks like by Wiktionary for English I was partly right, but only for Etymology 2, "last" in the sense of the obsolete meaning "perform" and the current meanings "endure". So we could construct an "Anglish" word, "belasted" (on the "be-" model of bejeweled, becalmed, beclowned) to mean "left this way from having endured". Which is about synonymous to the German word in question then.

	12:43pm Listener Robert: Rabbit, we have so many similar words that once you learn a few you can figure out others. Every time I read something in German I learn a little of it. So now I know, for instance, Baukran must be "build-crane" in the sense of "crane for building". So now I'm trying to figure out the "stellen" part of Baustellenkran.

	1:05pm Listener Robert: Looks like by Wiktionary for English I was partly right, but only for Etymology 2, "last" in the sense of the obsolete meaning "perform" and the current meanings "endure". So we could construct an "Anglish" word, "belasted" (on the "be-" model of bejeweled, becalmed, beclowned) to mean "left this way from having endured". Which is about synonymous to the German word in question then.
