	6:52am Daybreak’s got Friday Concert Tix?!?: @ Garlic Lover, Hope it was fun. I look weirdly fondly in my mind at the JFK departures international terminal. When my wife and I were going on our honeymoon to the Cayman Islands and Madrid back in 2008, we found this really good French restaurant there. It was in the shape of a cylinder and the walls were fully done in tile in that international departures terminal! We had a great steak, some fantastic wine, and not only were we so in love then… But we still are now!

Lewis Allan Reed was born on March 2, 1942, at Beth-El Hospital (later Brookdale) in Brooklyn and grew up in Freeport, Long Island. Reed was the son of Toby (née Futterman) (1920–2013) and Sidney Joseph Reed (1913–2005), an accountant. His family was Jewish and his grandparents were Russian Jews who had fled antisemitism; his father had changed his name from Rabinowitz to Reed. Reed said that although he was Jewish, his “real god was rock 'n' roll“. Reed attended Atkinson Elementary School in Freeport and went on to Freeport Junior High School. His sister Merrill, born Margaret Reed, said that as an adolescent, he suffered panic attacks, became socially awkward and "possessed a fragile temperament" but was highly focused on things that he liked, mainly music. He began experimenting with drugs at the age of 16. I donated to his fund but driving 2+ hours to Bearsville with my back issues isn't in the cards right now or I'd go see if there's some unclaimed will calls night of. In 99-2000 I worked at Nevessa Production right up the road from The theater in Saugerties, for Chris Andersen, Todd Rundgren's live sound & studio engineer when Todd ran out of fingers & toes to do it all himself. Great boss, fun job.

When my wife and I were going on our honeymoon to the Cayman Islands and Madrid back in 2008, we found this really good French restaurant there. It was in the shape of a cylinder and the walls were fully done in tile in that international departures terminal! We had a great steak, some fantastic wine, and not only were we so in love then… But we still are now!

Lewis Allan Reed was born on March 2, 1942, at Beth-El Hospital (later Brookdale) in Brooklyn and grew up in Freeport, Long Island. Reed was the son of Toby (née Futterman) (1920–2013) and Sidney Joseph Reed (1913–2005), an accountant. His family was Jewish and his grandparents were Russian Jews who had fled antisemitism; his father had changed his name from Rabinowitz to Reed. Reed said that although he was Jewish, his “real god was rock 'n' roll“. Reed attended Atkinson Elementary School in Freeport and went on to Freeport Junior High School. His sister Merrill, born Margaret Reed, said that as an adolescent, he suffered panic attacks, became socially awkward and "possessed a fragile temperament" but was highly focused on things that he liked, mainly music.
