Robyn did (and still occasionally does) acoustic sets at the Three Greyhounds pub on Clerkenwell Green. The audience just out songs they want to hear (his, or anyone else's) and he plays them, or jams them, or just makes them up. I've seen him do it a couple of times and it's an absolute hoot.

Thanks, Irene-i actually have a ticket in my"cart" at the site, didn't check out. Developed spinal stenosis past few years, hard to stand for hours (went to see Yo La Tengo for Chanukah, had to go upstairs and lean on a banister the whole show, actually wound up leaving a bit early because of the back. I sent them an email, (no phone contact on the site), haven't heard back. Probably better off going home on a school night...

Had spinal stenosis ~2002. I recall being at work, literally frozen in place as I was afraid to move even an eyebrow at one point (fortunately, it was the IT nerd overnight duty, so this wasn't witnessed). Got a steroid injection, but I still had to live my life in super-cushioned New Balance shoe products in order to eventually resolve.

Hey, TonyR-I've been doing physical therapy/yoga every day, meditation techniques daily as well, had helped (couldn't walk 20 feet without stopping, bending, giving it a chance to pass, them walk another few steps, same routine.)

My eldest brother got me into PH many years ago. We went to see them mid Noughties, and they were amazing. Gary Brooker had come straight from Buckingham Palace where he had received an OBE from the Queen. He had it pinned nonchalantly to the lapel of his jacket. Very cool.

Sean in Bristol. This 'Brightly' is their 2nd album, a very good one. (The original In Held 'Twas in I was on it.) Now that I think of it, most all of their albums are great. To my USAian ears, a very English band.
