Rev, I think bands also had a problem getting in because of the traffic jam. We didn't know at the time, we just thought Ritchie was doing a super long set and that probably everybody was gonna do that.

I'll be honest : When I was a high school kid - I went to see the Woodstock film - on a 4-way hit of acid. I had had a few trips by then - but not many. & I *did not* understand what a 4-way hit was. Richie Havens begins it ...& WOMP - right away - I'm *completely* melted by him - in public... A bit of a scene, honestly... Four days later - John Lennon was shot. That was a long hard Winter...

I can see Ritchie melting someone- the cool thing about him is a lot of bands have stacks of amps but he would just walk out with a guitar and be very quiet and sit and talk and then " melt" you - with positive vibes - such a rare thing

"Wind" was a frequently played song on Scott Muni's WNEW FM late afternoon weekday shows, as was "Legend OF A Mind" by the Moody Blues.. Whenever I hear these two songs, it brings me back to 4:30 iate afternoon with Scott Muni.. a few lifetimes ago! Andwella... some shades of Peter Green going on there..
