Favoriting Cratedigger's Lung with Rich In Washington: Playlist from January 7, 2022 Favoriting

Rich in Washington's avatar View Rich in Washington's profile Favoriting

A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm

Holy smokes! Haven't heard this in ages.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Rich in Washington:

There is a pending Prince album which is being held up by legal disputes and the owner(?) of it is in my town. Not exactly sure how he got ahold of it but he's got a legal claim to the session somehow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19pm

Sorry to hear Rich. But yeah, I pity all the prawns who die only to be tinned or frozen forever flavourless. Just cos people wanna see prawns on their plate. & not ever know what they actually taste like.
🍺🤓🤙💨🦐
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm
Kat in Chicago:

I am okay with leaving the kimchee making to professionals, I can get plenty of it around here. What I can't get is poutine, I moved away from the place around the corner that served a decent rendition (even though the curds were insufficiently squeaky)

Plus I have to train new team members, which I'm trying to do a good job of so I can actually take a damn vacation someday. I've been at this gig nearly a year and have barely taken any PTO bc it's a constant dumpster fire there

Are the carryout places good in your nabe, Kat?

Zip - I'll never have another issue with Circus Liquor because I bought it!!! [* lie #1] Regarding "Let the Holy Ghost Feel Your Body", I'm unable to Google this. [* true statement #1] And now I want to hear it. [* true statement #2]

Doo Rag!
UM - not a lot, but there's a Jet's Pizza, a pretty good sushi place and a whole lotta taco joints. Plus some good places within a couple miles that deliver.

The closest record I've found to "Let the Holy Ghost Feel Your Body" is a gospel track titled "He's All Over Me and He Keeps Me Satisfied." That holds a number of polysemic possibilities.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm

Indeed, Rich! Sometimes a Various Artists comp is the first and last stand of many bands. Next I believe we'll be enjoying the smooth sounds of Malignas Youth of Sierra Vista, AZ.

Not sure where my friend gets his pies but it's supposedly a well known place and notable for 'authentic' pies of its type and they specialize in making pies which people can travel with frozen. The pizzas I mean.
My friend buys like a half dozen per trip and gives them to friends, etc.

Could be. It's a strange place. Outside of town was a strip mall that had a gun store, liquor store and stripper bar. A big sign said "Liquor and Guns. Butt Naked!" Loved to go to the Okefenokee, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm

There's a great short doc on Mo and her distinctive drumming style and it wisely avoids her politics, which I have no idea where she's at nowadays.
