Norwich is close to where I was in that gang. It was White River Jct aka “Rio Blanco.” I know it’s touristy, but I do love King Arthur Flour, which is near there. A gorgeous shop, and the company is worker-owned! 🌹

Yup. An old Italian man in Lygon St Melbourne in a little blue and white striped apron was on the street calling out his specials... Couldn't resist. He was the only chef and waiter of his tiny hole in the wall. It was like a dream! Since then I cook it at home whenever I can and honestly it's impossible to mess up. peas, broccolini, anything jams

I prefer an oven for melting cheeses and cheese products onto crunchy things such as tortilla chips from the corner tortilleria. (If they were smart, they'd label them "bespoke tortilla chips" and then they could charge twice as much for them in Park Slope, but instead they just sell them out of clear Ziploc-type bags.)

I don't have any space for a microwave, nor do I know what I'd use it for, besides reheating rice. Reheating rice doesn't seem vitally important. I just try to make the right amount of rice in the rice cooker in the first place.
