Evening groovers. I have had my ears on Mary, so I didn't miss Solstice. Thank you for the spinage. We did a special Solstice session for Repeater Radio here in the UK last night (alongside Bobby Conn and Thighpulsandra), and put that track together for it. I know you're fond of a hurdy-gurdy, so I thought I'd send it to you, too.

Hey Mary, my mom is doing okay, gets out of rehab Thursday. The family health saga continues, however -- I had my wife in the ER with a bad skin infection (better after antibiotics) and last night 3 of the 9 potential attendees to the Christmas dinner we are supposed to be hosting have been exposed to Covid (from a fully vaxxed person) including my bride, so Christmas dinner is likely cancelled. December has sucked, to say the least.

Don't know about cancer, Phillippe, I guess it's a possibility (I hope not). Thought of diabetes first (drinking and peeing more is classic), but the vet tested and he's not diabetic. We have an enclosed back yard, so we can just let him out when he needs to go, but it's still like a newborn, no steady sleep.
My last dog, many years back, had really bad arthritis, and we did the same thing, waited much too long to put her down.

She didn't say directly I shouldn't use "handful"...just said it showed up a lot and she seemed to regard it as overuse that flicked her somehow. McAloon has maintained that the name was entirely made-up, stating in a 1984 interview; "I was asked about the name so many times I used to invent stories about it. The truth of the matter is that I made it up. Around that time all the groups were supposed to mean something ... and when you are 13 you think it's profound, that there must be some secrecy. I liked the idea and so thought of two odd words, put them together and have kept it, basically because it reminds me of how I used to look at things."
