This is the ONLY Xmas holiday music show that I know I can actually ENJOY. Someone gotta call the USPS and put THIS up as their hold music; in 10 days they have delivered 2 packages of mine to the wrong damn building and getting it all sorted meant lots of hold music. LOTS. I mean, they let you choose from 6 stations now; least offensive one is simply called "world beats" and it's not bad but even some schlocky Xmas stuff is creeping into that media feed!

PS it's gotten bad enough where I've seen the super who runs 3 smaller buildings on my block getting buzzed in with our place's misdelivered mail/packages, and our super returning the favor with a full freaking handcart of stuff. We're talking perishable food deliveries, medical supplies, MEDS for Cthulhu's sake, the kind of stuff where someone's home aide would just go down and get it for someone who is homebound but has no idea RE tracking numbers, etc. I mean, UPS and FedEx aren't a whole lot better but at least they KNOW where stuff falls off the map. My local USPS scans all of their shit in as "delivered" when they load it on the truck. Therefore, it's impossible to know where something got lost along the way/stolen/damaged/etc.

@DJBH yup. Our regular carrier retired back in July and they are using temps/split routes for both "in the box" mail and packages. We allegedly got a new guy dedicated to our route, but it's not showing yet. And it ain't just me. Been waiting for my Mom's transport wheelchair to be delivered from a State agency up in Rockland for almost a month now.

@Michael I would, but....local station only open 9-5, ridiculous lines and short hours on Saturday, and it's a pain in the ass to get to . @DJBH Yup, the building is totally on top of looking out for essential stuff for Mom and they know her home aide. One of the regular front desk folks at her place is also in a wheelchair and is trying to pull out some stops. And, the arrangement between my building's super and the nice guy who runs the other 3 smaller brownstones on the block is getting things resolved faster than the USPS. It's VERY hard to get an actual human on the phone at USPS RE this issue. It's a LOCAL office problem, and the USPS site is a labyrinth of code tacked on to more code and forms; almost impossible to get a message about a building-wide problem to any one station manager. Even individual problems! One of my neighbors accidentally jammed the wrong key into his mailbox and the key broke in the lock. Took almost a month to get fixed, even though he left notes on the actual box AND they kept just dumping his mail under the box area. Apparently it's a whole big deal if it's NOT a publically-owned building as far as who is responsible--building management, the USPS, etc....and because lock tampering on boxes is a crime, it's hard to get a locksmith in who can/will touch a mail box.
