I was digging it, too. Waited for it to end before connecting to the stream!

Hey Doug! Did you ever consider adding a more classical-oriented show to the stream? I am feeling the loss of Bethany Ryker's A440.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54am

I have long desired a classical-oriented show. On WFMU and on the stream. I have always felt that the absence of so-called "classical" music (whatever the hell that is) from the WFMU universe has been a huge flaw in our freeform ointment. Bethany's show has been, whenever it's been on, a balm. And the bomb.

Since you chose to play this: heard interview with Jordan where she said this arrangement of Sunshine is based on drunk Pennsylvania coal miners playing the song over and over on a juke box. I love Sheila's slender tone, but it's her rhythmic sensibility that just slays me. Got me thinking about how closely she studied Bird, and transposed him into such a feminine voice. Excited to hear her with Rudd (and Lacy, too?).
