Older brother would buy speedfreaks' whole album collections for cheap & such things - & hand me down the doubles - various things...So I heard a lot & had some things very early on. But none of that was Beatles.
I think my Mum gave me Let It Be for a birthday - probly from the discount bin for $1.99 in early 70s dollars. & yet - not that long after it came out from our perspective now. Pressed to recount when one became a Beatletard - I actually don't remember ! I know I was already into the Saturday Cartoon show before the 60s were over. In the 70s I gradually collected all the LPs...

The idea of allyship is important I think. Consider the (misplaced) fear that is motivating the person you encountered. Not that you should befriend such a person, but what happens if you say, “I got to know my new neighbor and they are good neighbors!” (To repeat: not criticizing or telling you what you should have done. In my experience — as a person of color — much racism can’t be easily unlearned, but a surprising amount crumbles very quickly.)

Centerpiece the Peter Jackson 6-hour film on Disney+ around Thanksgiving. & for the Album - 6 CDs & corresponding LP package.

To be clear: the reason The Beatles are doing all the deluxe releases is because of copyright law in UK. All the Beatles bootlegs would become "legal" if the proper rights holder did not issue a "legit" release before 50 years elapsed. Yes the ultimate reason for the issues is $. Although I believe the motivation for the Anthology project was specifically that George needed money.

My fave Fab 4 album, right now, "Beatles 65" -- the U.S. version as an LP. I call it, "Okay, You've Passed the Audition."

PS the one deluxe edition that I am not sure was worth it is Lennon's Plastic Ono Band -- because the originaly album is short and perfect and the idea of an expanded edition is weird. (Don't get me wrong.) The remix of the original album is amazing, to be clear.

...since the Get Back project (became Let It Be) was intended to be a verite exposition of them crafting an Album from thin air - tapes reels ran (the 'Nagra Tapes') - & there were fully 60 hours of film footage - which is what Jackson has had to play with here... Big thing is Abbey Road was recorded last - but Let It Be only released after that as an Elegy. The angle around the current output is it recasts it all as *not* the gloomy breakup - & not without merit !! So yerknow we Beatletards are having a moment with it...

@DJPeterDE: Late reply (laundry) but what was most weird is that these bros were not regulars, and the overt race talk was new too. I may have an overly sensitive radar though: I'm an Arab to Jews, and a Jew to Arabs, so I have to sense when it's time for the French martial art: running
