Yeah ! So - I figured with Jeffrey Davison off the Saturday morning schedule - I will listen to the Archive for your *previous week's* show before Michael Shelley & Fool's Paradise on the mainstream every week. (Double Dip Recess is kewl & fun - but it's for kids & I can't catch everything...) I've actually never utilized the Archives before for anything really ! But I think this will work very well.
If I Copy the URL for the Archive PopUp - & open it in iTunes [File > Open stream...] - then I can even still use the EQ setting I like there to listen...

Butterfield probably did more to set The San Francisco Sound in motion than any other group. Just look at how many times Bill Graham Booked them to play the Fillmores. It has been said... "this wasn't teen pop music this was "Man's" music". Rough hard uncompromising blowing through the deepest recessed caverns and bars of the Chicago Blues scene. They must have been intimidating. Bloomfield. Sadly under appreciated to this day.

I will stick out my neck here and submit there is a wire that runs from East West to Marquee Moon. The conversational style between Bloomfield/Bishop bled directly to Cippolina/Duncan, then jumped the river to Verlaine/Lloyd.

@wmfromdumont Sanders Live At The East is on Impulse, if I recall correctly there is a question whether it was actually live, or just a studio set duplicating the band that played there at the East in that day and age. A minor distinction. Ras Moshe Burnett on FB used to post lots of great flyers of shows at the East, amazing lineups, I wonder if more sets were recorded....
Avatar 12:36pm

My pleasure Gina!

Gil Bernal not a familiar name, Nice Jump jazz, top of the bar style!
Avatar 1:45pm
Bob Brainen:

wmfromD, I like it but I think Tim started to come into his own when he added the jazz elements, stand-up bass and esp. vibes. It opened the music up. He started stretching out more, song length and vocal-wise.

@doctorjazz: did you find it? Or did the latest filter get better

Waiting for The Strawbs to do some shows in NYC. Never seen them before and want to take advantage.

Bob Brainen:

doctorjazz! Bernal was a popular west coast cat. He Played on Robin's records and did his own stuff and decades later Zevon and Cooder.

I caught the Strawbs twice at Joint In The Woods and I forget the venue in the city. Early to mid 70s.
