Flash Strap's avatar View Flash Strap's profile Favoriting

This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

WR:

My one time seeing Terry Riley up close: The Kronos String Quartet hosted a large ensemble performance of In C in Carnegie Hall a few years ago. We were sitting way up high. As we were leaving, I saw two septuagenarian looking hippy couples going over to an elevator, and pressing the up button. Heard one of the elder ladies addressing a gentleman dressed in a fancy black leather ensemble, "Come on La Monte, we can get up there this way" as she pressed the up button on the service elevator. Noticing their demeanor it suddenly came to me that it was Terry and La Monte and their companions going up on the roof or some place to smoke dope.

Flash Strap:

@TDK: seems to be the case, though i guess there's still some room for credulity. in the 90s Psi-Fi released a bunch of "lost" krautrock records that were supposedly originally released on the Pyramid label, in runs of 50 or less. No original Pyramid LP has ever surfaced, which is sorta beyond what I can personally believe. but i do really like this track so I can't be mad about it
