Diamanda Galás has put many of her releases on bandcamp. Your opener was one of my bc Friday purchases on April 2. Just one more bc Friday scheduled, for May.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm
Handy Haversack:

My Vocal Fry Bandcamp pickup this month was Ingrid Plum's Howl.

Also here...happened briefly during Techt too, but actually lost the connection for a minute then
Avatar 7:24pm
Tom Miller:

Signal gone to static on one antenna a few minutes in. Beautiful fade. Then on the other radio I heard the same dropout just now as HH. Weird, not local pirates as one would expect at this hour, but some atmospheric or electrical interference maybe?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm
Rich in Washington:

This is wonderful!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm

I'm still waiting for Robert Ashley here....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm
Ike:

I think there was a brief 91.1 FM drop-out several minutes ago as well. Definitely wasn’t pirates.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
northguineahills:

All musicians I've seen, but never in the same combo....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm
Dan Bodah:

The dropout was, unfortunately, between my home studio & WFMU. My studio is wired to my modem via ethernet but "Optimum" is very poorly named -- last 2 weeks I've been getting multiple short drop outs during the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
Dan Bodah:

I just picked this record up on BC Friday and damn!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm
Handy Haversack:

"Suboptimum" tested poorly, Dan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm
Mr. Pumpy:

Dan, Optimum has been horrid for me the past week or two as well.
@Handy...did they try, "Bare Minimum"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
Handy Haversack:

That's a different service entirely, Mr. P. Or, er, so I hear.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Mr. Pumpy:

I'll have to check the parent company on my invoice. OH NO! Barest Minimum.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:38pm
Dan Bodah:

Stuck w/only Optimum available in my area :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Webhamster Henry:

Yodel AND throat signing; a natural for this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Mr. Pumpy:

Handy, I told you in confidence that my lovers of yore refer to my..er..unit, as my 'minimum'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
Mr. Pumpy:

The trumpet works nicely here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm
Dan Bodah:

@WHH, yep -- Stimmhorn is home for us
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
northguineahills:

Yes, I've seen Prefuse 73.

Optimum is what Warner used to be? I think it rebranded before I left, and it makes Cox look efficient...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm
Webhamster Henry:

Time/Warner "Roadrunner" -> spectrum
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
Dan Bodah:

I believe Optimum is a brand name for Cablevision. Not sure though. It's not TW/RR, which is Spectrum now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm
ultradamno:

Always a good sign when a company has to keep rebranding. It's why we all love Comca...err Xfinity
Avatar 7:49pm
Tom Miller:

.Live radio the way it oughta be.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm
Handy Haversack:

Sounding great, Dan! I gotta start cooking but will be listening. Thanks so much.

Thanks, Skeleton Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

Optimum is the provider in this area as well. They're now a division or some corporate holding of Altice. I know this because they send me several emails a day to try to sell me their mobile phones.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm
Webhamster Henry:

Sometimes I think there should be a similar show for extended instruments, both standardized and one-offs. I'm always happy to make more work for other people, and then haunt their chatboards with even more work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53pm
Mr. Pumpy:

Cablevision bought Optimum in the early aughts, they proceeded to make a bunch of new products like phone line and tiered internet services, then a few years ago Altice bought Optimum...and the sucking really began. Horrible service, and horrible customer service. Before Altice, it wasn't too bad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm
Dan Bodah:

Hahah. BTW, the vocalist for TAK is Charlotte Mundy and she is amazing.
Avatar 7:55pm
Tom Miller:

Go ask Altice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm

and crazy expensive. >$112/month.
