I don't know what to tell ya, Mark. Just keep ringing Don-O's phone. We've been trying to reach him via internet methods.

Speaking of The Torch is Burning - we just heard the dulcet tones of Franklyn McCormick a few moments ago. He was one of the inspirations for that show. The title The Torch is Burning comes from one of his albums. See, it all ties together, eh?

Easy listening Whiter Shade is wonderful. Missed so much today, stuck on a Zoom work thing. Nice to see you here MarkTime. I remember years back and the tape trades. Good times!

Just want to submit a correction that I only discovered recently: my WDVR aircheck recording was from 1972 June 04, not 1973 June 14. Other than that thanks for listening and using it in your programme!

https://archive.org/details/WDVRWBEBAircheck1973June14

If you go there you can compare it to what came off the reel, as well as an even crappier earlier transfer I did on a piece of junk Sony deck back in 2010. The 2010 transfer, I just kind of halfassed the EQ with an ancient version of Nero Wave Editor. What can I say, I was new to this stuff then.

Anyways, I'm the dude in the other side of the country who posted the original recording, A.M.A.
