Growing up I thought The Plasmatics were The B-52's. A Jamaican kid living in Queens didn't see too much punk or new wave in my neck of the woods. Later on say 1982, it started to seep into my suburbia. I got sucked in! I did hear the music thanks to WBLS and then WLIR the summer of 1982.
