Went twice: I was maybe 14/15, something like that. Freaky place. Eerily quiet. It's next to a bird park yet you can't hear any burds, and there's a local legend that the heather that covers the place was white when planted, but came up pink and purple because of all the bloodshed

It's a small room, that had an unthinkable number of very stressed out people in it. I've looked through that same window, at the tree. And all of those old buildings are the same ones, there, in old Amsterdam. the side staircase where they were betrayed. Anne was mature beyond her years, yet still a girl. Her 'movie star' type magazine clippings are still pinned to the wallpaper. All is as it was, through the sliding bookcase. I honestly don't know how they managed in there for two years.

I went to a photography exhibition once, and there was a small portrait on the wall. Almost entirely pitch black aside from one bit of light, about the size of a 50p piece. You could just about make out a tree branch. And it was titled "The View From Auschwitz".
And I had to leave the exhibition because that broke me.
