There used to be this candy/saltwater taffy shop on Seaside OR's boardwalk and they played this loop of Sammy's Candy Man from 9-5 every day. I felt really bad for the kids that worked there, especially during tourist season.

I had this really serious Blanc record where he was addressing the Portland Jewish Federation and I kept expecting him to break into some kind of character. It was actually pretty peculiar. I donated it to a Mel Blanc historian here in town so I no longer have it. I guess it was sort of rare, if not boring.
