Am I the only one that remembers that period of time in the early '80s when the only type of cheeseburger you could get on the boardwalk of Seaside Heights, NJ was a "CHEESE whiz BURGER"? Ha! I guess, at that time, extra refrigeration was quite an added expense!

That's near me, medson, only 15 or 20 minutes north of where I live. It snowed all over the Hill Country and San Antonio, parts of Houston and my parents got the same as us the next day in North Louisiana. What's funny is they live in North Central Louisiana about 10 minutes from the Arkansas line. 20 minutes away in the nearest biggest town in AR near them, El Dorado, they didn't get any snow!

i just don't miss it or need it so it's (normally) a once-in-a-while treat. i've gone years without cheese and not been tempted. i love my cooking and never cook with dairy. i just use cheese sometimes for avocado sandwiches.
