It wasn't too bad. Handyman was able to use the same boards that broke away and he put even longer screws in and made a deal on one of the outer poles that I can let it in and out with extra rope for the next time we have snow

Those boards really came in handy when Alicia came in and '83. That whole area was destroyed by trees being uprooted and blown around and flooding. It was crazy. We left and went a little bit north of town, on the north side, and that was not far enough. The tall pine trees were touching the ground even up there. It was one strong hurricane. We didn't have electricity for two weeks after we got home a few days afterwards

Geez - you are lucky. That happened to a friend lived in Forest Hills at the time, 200 year old trees torn out of the ground. To get to his place I had to climb over a 12 foot thick tree trunk
