Avatar 10/16/13 2:14pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I read half the script to Carruth's unproduced film. It was really something. I couldn't imagine anyone coming up with the money for it. Haven't seen Upstream Color yet, but soon. I'm quite proud of him for Primer.

Avatar 10/16/13 2:17pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Bliss: Primer was a pretty much one-man (software engineer!) production, from a few years ago. He spent about $7000 in total making it (but then $25,000 to submit it to a film festival).
Avatar 10/16/13 2:18pm kat330:

Avatar 10/16/13 2:30pm kat330:

@Bliss: No, it's how I was called "a pedant" for reminding an on-air personality that it is "I could NOT care less." The lazy way it's too often said doesn't even make sense, fercrimminy. A pedant cares about rules for rules' sake; I care about people sticking to "rules" when it creates clarity of communication.
Avatar 10/16/13 2:31pm Timeshift pacific standard simon:

"It seems to me that our three basic needs, for food and security and love, are so mixed and mingled and entwined that we cannot straightly think of one without the others. So it happens that when I write of hunger, I am really writing about love and the hunger for it, and warmth and the love of it and the hunger for it… and then the warmth and richness and fine reality of hunger satisfied… and it is all one."

@Bliss: Yeah, I find it fascinating how so many playlists have their own nonsensical rules. It was OK for that guy -- GMMM -- to name-call on the list, and I've seen it allowed in attacks against me many times. And yet, OTOH, if I express a nicely reasoned comment on why I don't care for some track or some artist, I get piled on by the station faithful. Wacko rules.

"the amazing thing":P is that everything we see... sense is mysteriously and truly the consciousness-perception of our mind forest and related sense capacities. the signals from outside are the master tape reel but every first and last sense that we experience is a dubbed tape, a rebuilding, even resurrection, in the form of consciousness of the initial signals received. : ) :) <3

Avatar 10/16/13 3:18pm Timeshift Fleep:

Schrödinger's cat is a thought experiment, sometimes described as a paradox, devised by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger in 1935. It illustrates what he saw as the problem of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics applied to everyday objects, resulting in a contradiction with common sense. The scenario presents a cat that may be both alive and dead, depending on an earlier random event. Although the original "experiment" was imaginary, similar principles have been researched and used in practical applications. The thought experiment is also often featured in theoretical discussions of the interpretations of quantum mechanics.

I cannot come back tomorrow and reply to my own comments, because the person who would come tomorrow would not be the same person who is here tonight. I believe Heraclitus said something like this.

Also, I have to work tomorrow.

I was actively communicating socially via computers before that, alas.
