Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Upcoming events:

Tuesday, June 25th, 3pm - 6pm: Windhand
Windhand hail from Richmond, Virginia, and their split release on Relpase Records with the band Cough (with whom they share a member) is one of the most massive sounding doom releases in a long time. Live today on Brian's show, and also at St. Vitus in Greenpoint on Friday, June 7th.

Tuesday, August 13th, 3pm - 6pm: 7" Singles special with Tom Lax of Siltbreeze Records
The annual visit from our pal Tom Lax, bringing up yet another assortment of obscuro and extremely special 7" singles wax from Siltbreeze headquarters in Philadelphia. If you've checked out this special in past years you know that you will certainly be hearing a lot of DIY/post-punk and general oddball stuff you will probably not hear anywhere else (and see as well, as we will be posting the sleeve art on the playlist page live). Not to be missed!

Tuesday, August 20th, 3pm - 6pm: Mad Nanna
Strung-out, electric downer drift in the form of Mad Nanna, winging their way from Melbourne, Australia for a US tour and a live session on Brian's show today. Once aptly described as "battered folk", this combo should tickle the brainlobes of avowed fans of such loose thinkers as the Dead C, Shadow Ring, Jandek, and the Godz. They've generally resided in the lo-to-no-fi realm on various releases on labels like Unwucht, Soft Abuse, and Wormwood Grasshopper; a rare opportunity to hear them in a bareboned live studio setting this afternoon on WFMU.
