A blue flexi-disc that came with being in the official super stupendous "Muppet Show" fan club circa 1977! Membership in the MSFC included the following benefits: An official membership certificate, a membership card, a Fan Club button, six issues of the Fan Club newsletter, an 8x10 color photo of the Muppets, a Fan Club iron-on decal for a T-shirt, and of course this "soundsheet" flexi-disc. Enter into the mysteries of the genetic harmony diet, the only diet that does not fall prey to that all-too-common tendency to ignore the vibratory imprints of food onto each being's energy body. Here's good proof that words like 'professional' and 'official' are hollow terms: a portion of the HANA (Hahnemann Academy of North America) certification cirriculum. The lecturer, Dr. Robin Murphy, N.D., is considered an expert in the field of Homeopathic medicine, directs HANA, has published many books on medicine and has taught at the accredited Bastyr University of Seattle, Washington. This lecture, presumably part of a larger series of lectures, deals with "Dental, Mouth, Throat" as handwritten red ink on the cassette indicates. The lecture (especially side one) seems to focus more on diet than dentistry. Regardless, Dr. Murphy's strength lies in his ability to connect mundane sciences to the most lofty religious concepts. Be ready for a full on new-agey amalgam of Eastern religion and pseudoscience. July 2007

My Name Is Rar-Rar was a spastic no-wave band from Chicago that was formed in late 2000 by guitarist Chuck Falzone and bassist Jonathan Hischke. Both had served time in the Flying Luttenbachers and they brought the dissonance and speed to My Name is Rar-Rar, setting it to a dancey tribal thump provided by Chrissy Rossettie. Original singer Camilla Ha, later of Magic is Kuntmaster, made the stage shows a surrealist fanfare as she fronted the band in elaborate and absurd Victorian-inspired costumes. When Ha left the band, Greg Peters took over on vocals, bringing his trademark bark over from his previous band Xerobot. His whoops, coughs, and delusional ramblings transformed the band into a speeding circus caravan that misses a turn and goes tumbling over a cliff. During their lifetime, My Name is Rar-Rar released a split 7" with Neon Hunk, a comp track on White Denim records, and a mini-EP on an obscure Italian label. They recorded their first full-length record in 2003 but broke up before mixing it. Recently Chuck Falzone unearthed some of the rough mixes and here they are. February 2009

On August 14th of this year, percussion wizard Tatsuya Nakatani stopped by WFMU to record a set. Known for an unorthodox approach to the drum set, Tatsuya delivered a fully improvised 17-minute mindblower of bowed gongs, singing bowls, and scraping cymbals, which we present to you here in its entirety. Popular song made in 1964 by some Swedes who I'm guessing were never in the great city. They sure as hell aren't singing "Southern belle" either. Nonetheless, it rocks. September 2005
