A visit from guitarist/Nick Drake preservationist
Scott Appel

Parhelion, Scott Appel's 3rd album has just been released on One Man Clapping Records, along with his two previous offerings, Nine of Swords and Glassfinger. Appel did not bring his guitar along, but did bringa number of recordings from people he considers the "great, unsung heroes of music." He programmed all the music to the end of the show, including tracks from Parhelion, and we had a good chat with the listeners about it all.

Bryan MacLean (ex-Love)"She Looks Good"If You Believe In
Jeff Buckley"Lover You Should Have Come Over"Grace

Scott Appel (from the Parhelion CD):

"Let All the Clocks Stop"
"Brittle Days (Parts I, II and III) (Nick Drake)
"Hazey Jane" (Nick Drake)
"Just Lately"
"Hideaway/Sunrise Turn"
"Road" (Nick Drake)

Moby Grape"I Am Not Willing"Vintage
John Cale"Child's Christmas in Wales" Paris 1919
Chris Whitley"Loco Girl" Dirt Floor
Sandy Denny"After Halloween"Who Knows Where the Time Goes (CD box set)

Check out Scott Appel's website by clicking here (my apologies about the pop-up commercial when you get there). You'll find a number of good articles, as well as a few of Nick Drake's guitar tunings, and information on how to get Scott's albums.

Send Scott an email by clicking here.
