Never thought I'd hear "Little Space Girl,"
again, and I couldn't have said it was by Jesse Turner
if my life depended on it. Brings up another song though.
"Space Girl" was a favorite on the old WTCN,
1280 AM, where they tried to mix novelties with Top-40
in the evenings. Another favorite was: A Pub With No Beer
by Slim Dusty. It's very Australian, starting out mentioning
"...where the wild dingos howl," and is a cowboy
tune in 3/4 time. The biggest chunk of lyrics I can give
you is:
O the maid's got all cranky, The bar man's acting queer,
There's nothing so lonesome (?), As a pub with no beer!
