I received a copy of this album in the mail from Brian Karasick in Canada in early 2002. For the past few years Dana Countryman and I (with the help of the Miller family) have been collecting Mrs. Miller rarities for a compilation we plan to release in some form in the future. This is a grand take-off on Mrs. Miller, but in French. The album is very scarce (only other copy I've seen is up on Show and Tell Music) and up until 2 years ago we had no clue this even existed.

had its share of musical oddities, but with its unique
linguistic and cultural position in North America,
the musical offerings are equally unique.

Mme St-Onge, you can hear her practically every week
on a wonderful French Canadian radio show here in Montreal
called "Les Grands Brilis" (The Great Burned,
I guess would be a literal translation). Mme St-Onge is
their hero, and they play a weekly dose of rare French
Canadian country, western or strange recordings of this
province from the 50s, 60s and 70s. I thought perhaps
this could be of interest. I know of only two people in
Quebec who have Mme St-Onge's record. One is a record
store owner and the other is one of this show's host.
