Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from January 19, 2024 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Dan Brown's not THAT bad a writer. The difference is that Brown ACKNOWLEDGED writing fiction, while Henry Lincoln may or may not have believed what he wrote was about underlying facts. Figured on the alternator since it the car was already running on the road, and just had no power from a standing stop. Eventually the radio went off (John Allen), a clue it wasn't something like the fuel pump or fuel line. No indication the battery'd been losing charge in recent starts. Instrument panel doesn't say something simple & obvious like "GEN". Instead all sorts of other crazy lights light on the instrument panel that I'm sure are mere artifacts, nothing to do with the actual problem.

Can't remember last time I saw a car with an analog gauge on the dashboard saying whether the battery was charging or discharging.

YouTubes show there to be many people in Don's boat, subject to not being able to get on their feet, literally. There are exercises. I keep meaning to start him on some of them. But underlying this is the apraxia of dementia.
