I think Mark and Techtonic more than deserve the celebration, Robm! It's an unfathomably important service, and Mark is tireless in his probing of the ways money and tech act in direct opposition to human life and freedom.

One reason for the US media's fixation on covering The Queen's funeral, methinks, is because they're aware that Canada, a Commonwealth nation, is watching the US media carefully to make sure their coverage is 100% respectfully treated w/o any slanderous or defamatory comments, especially from the right wing media groups.

@Robm - There is also Queen bashing coming from the sovereign nations that have been under British rule for centuries, such as Bermuda, The Bahamas, Jamaica, and other British-owned territories in the Carribean and South Pacific, as I've just heard today on Democracy Now. I believe the sentiment is the same in African nations under their rule, as well.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 3:57pm

I understand that in several nations that had been under colonial rule there were celebrations when the queen died. Not the "let's raise a glass to a classy woman" celebrations, but the "Ding dong the witch is dead" celebrations
